Pray before, during and after your interaction with a advocate for abortion. Before: Pray for opportunity to share your faith with advocates for abortion. "God, give me opportunity today to speak to advocates for abortion about the love and reality of Christ. Fill me with your Spirit so I may proclaim your truths as clearly as I should. Amen." During: Be in tune with the Holy Spirit throughout your interaction with a muslim. Consider when and how you can pray with them as your conversation unfolds. After: Ask the Holy Spirit how he would like to intercede on this person's behalf. Consider your conversation with this person, and ask God to move in this area of their life.

To appreciate means to recognize the full worth of something or someone and/or to understand fully. Before you share your beliefs with an advocate for abortion, it is best to understand fully what you and they believe and how your beliefs differ.   For believers in Christ who advocate for the lives of the unborn, we believe the Lord called each of us before birth; from within the womb he called us (Isaiah 49:1). The Lord made a way for every person to come to know Him, and mankind has no right to keep any person—inside or outside the womb—from knowing and receiving Him.    When evangelizing to an advocate for abortion, let this truth (Isaiah 49:1) be at the center of your message.  Share with them the love God has for all people, including them and the young and the old, the born and the unborn. Rather than debate the issue of abortion, simply tell them of God's love for people and the sadness he experiences when a person's life is taken.

Advocates for abortion are often very passionate about their beleifs and take it very seriously. When you interact with an advocate for abortion, remember you goal is not to debate the issue of abortion as much as it is to win them to Christ.  Let them speak, but maintain control of the conversation, leading them to Christ.  Throughout the conversation, it is best to practice good listening skills. Pay Attention: Give them your undivided attention. Recognize that non-verbal communication also "speaks" loudly. Look at the speaker directly. Put aside distracting thoughts. Don't mentally prepare a rebuttal. Avoid being distracted by environmental factors. And "listen" to his or her body language. Show That You're Listening: Use your own body language and gestures to show that you are engaged. Nod occasionally. Smile and use other facial expressions. Make sure that your posture is open and interested. Encourage the speaker to continue with small verbal comments like "yes", and "uh huh". Provide Feedback: Our personal filters, assumptions, judgments and beliefs can distort what we hear. As a listener, your role is to understand what is being said. This may require you to reflect on what is being said and to ask questions. Reflect on what has been said by paraphrasing. "What I'm hearing is... ," and "Sounds like you are saying... ," are great ways to reflect back. Ask questions to clarify certain points. "What do you mean when you say... ." "Is this what you mean?" Summarize their comments periodically. Tip: If you find yourself responding emotionally to what someone said, say so. And ask for more information: "I may not be understanding you correctly, and I find myself taking what you said personally. What I thought you just said is XXX. Is that what you meant?" Defer Judgment: Interrupting is a waste of time. It frustrates the speaker and limits full understanding of the message. Allow the person you are interacting with to finish each point before asking questions. Don't interrupt with counter arguments or differing beliefs. Respond Appropriately: Active listening is designed to encourage respect and understanding. You are gaining information and perspective. You add nothing by attacking the speaker or otherwise putting him or her down. Be candid, open and honest in your response. Assert your beliefs respectfully. Treat the other person in a way that you would want to be treated. Remember it is the Holy Spirit who draws them: “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:44 Avoid trying to debate an unbeliever to Christ. Rather, love them well by listening well and speaking the truth with gentlness and respect.

Once signed up, they will meet with the author of "Pathway To God" through ZOOM to learn more about Jesus and Christianity. You can also encourage them to click "Meet Jesus". Here they will read about who Jesus is, what He did and why He matters to them. They will hear the Gospel and have the opportunity to receive Jesus.   Yourself: Consider following up with the advocates for abortion whom you interact with. Jesus told us not only to fish for men, but to 'make disciples'. Before leaving the people you meet, ask God if this is someone he would like you to disciple. If they are, exchange contact information, and consider discipling that person. Also consider sharing with your pastor or a leader within your church the relationship you have formed with a advocate for abortion.
